abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain a carpet having improved adhesive force under wet conditions and blister resistance, by coating one side of a tufting with a specific anionic adhesive and one side of a secondary base fabric with a specific cationic adhesive, and laminating both sides on each other. n CONSTITUTION: One side of a tufting is coated with (A) an anionic high polymer latex consisting of an anionic high polymer latex, e.g. obtained by emulsion polymerization with an anionic emulsifying agent, and containing 40W90wt% toluene- insoluble material and 150W1,000pts.wt., based on 100pts.wt. above-mentioned latex expressed in terms of solid, filler, e.g. calcium carbonate and/or aluminum hydroxide, and one side of a secondary base fabric is coated with (B) a cationic high polymer latex consisting of a cationic high polymer latex, e.g. obtained by emulsion polymerization with a cationic emulsifying agent, and containing 40W 90wt% toluene-insoluble material and 0W1,000pts.wt., based on 100pts.wt. above- mentioned latex expressed in terms of solid, filler, e.g. titanium oxide.
