titleOfInvention Production of polyester imide
abstract PURPOSE: To produce a polyester imide having excellent heat resistance, with a simple process at a low production cost, by using a specific imide ring-containing dicarboxylic acid and a dihydric phenol as starting raw materials. n CONSTITUTION: (A) An imide ring-containing dicarboxylic acid of formula I (Ar is group of formula IIW formula VI, etc.) and equimolar amount of (B) a dihydric phenol of formula VII (Ar' is same as Ar) are dissolved in (C) a solvent (pyridine or a mixture of pyridine and dimethylformamide), and subjected to the polycondensation reaction in the presence of (D) the arylsulfonyl chloride of formula R-SO 2 -Cl (R is group of formula VIIIW formula X, etc.). The lithium pyridine salt of the allylsulfonic acid can be produced by adding 10W50mol% lithium chloride based on the component A to the reaction system in the reaction, and the component D can be regenerated and reused by reacting the pyridine salt with phosgene. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio
