titleOfInvention Primer composition
abstract PURPOSE: The titled compositions suitable for use in bonding silicone rubber to metal, etc., comprising organic-solvent-soluble polyorganosiloxane, specified two types of organic silicon compounds, and organic solvents. n CONSTITUTION: 100pts.wt. organic-solvent-soluble polyorganosiloxane (A) having units of formula I (where R 1 is an alkyl of phenyl) and SiO 2 units in a molar ratio of 0.5W1:1, 20W200pts.wt. organic silicon compound (B) having amino groups attached to Si (e.g. γ-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane), 10W100pts.wt. silane compound (C) of formula II (where R 2 is H or methyl; R 3 is an alkyl of 1W10C; n is 3W10) (e.g. γ-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane), and an organic solvent (D) (e.g. benzene) are mixed. The obtained composition is used as a primer in bonding a room temperature curing silicone rubber to metal, glass, etc.; the formed composite structure will not cause failure in bonding such as peeling. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio
