titleOfInvention Laser light sensitive lithographic plate material
abstract PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity to laser beams by using a specified sensitizing dye for a silver salt diffusion transfer offset printing plate. CONSTITUTION:A support is coated with an antihalation layer, and a silver halide emulsion layer, and further, with a physical development nucleus layer in this order from the support to form a lithographic plate material. This emulsion layer is composed of >=98mol% silver chloride grains or the total silver halide grains, and further contains a sensitizing dye represented by the formula in which A is 1-4C alkyl; R<1>, R<2> are each lower alkyl, hydroxyalkyl, sulfoalkyl, or carboxyalkyl; Y1, Y2 are each O, S, or Se; Z<1>, Z<2> are each a benzene or naphthalene ring; X is an alkali metal or NH4; and n is 0 or 1. The obtained material is especially suitable for a helium-neon laser and an argon laser.
