abstract PURPOSE: A termite destroying agent having killing effect on termite, long-term heat stability, low toxicity to men and beasts, and high long-term reliability, containing 8-hydroxyquinoline and a metal complex of 8-hydroxyquinoline as an active ingredient. n CONSTITUTION: A termite destroying agent containing 8-hydroxyquinoline and at least one metal complex of 8-hydroxyquinoline. The metal complex of 8-hydroxyquinoline is a complex of 8-hydroxyquinoline and one or more metals selected from Sn, Ba, Sr, Ca, Mg, and Fe, and 8-hydroquinoline barium, etc. may be cited as the complex. In application, a resin such as polyethylene, vinyl chloride copolymer, etc. or asphalt is blended with the powdery active ingredient.
