abstract NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by the formula I (R 1 is 1W6C alkyl, or 2W4C alkenyl; R 2 is 1W6C alkyl, 3W6C cycloalkyl, 4W8C dialkenylamino, benzyl, etc.; X and Y are halogen, 1W4C alkyl, 1W4C alkoxy, etc.; m and n are 0W3) and its salt. n EXAMPLE: 5-( 4-Chlorophenylimino )-2-methyl-3-phenyl-Δ 3 -1,2,4-thiadiazoline hydrobromide. n USE: An agricultural and horticultural fungicide. Especially showing improved effect on Phycomycetes such as downy mildew and damping-off of Pythium of cucumbers, Phytophthora capsici Leonian of eggplants, downy mildew of grapes, etc., scab of apples, cercospora leaf spot of sugar beet, etc. n PREPARATION: A compound shown by the formula II or formula III is subjected to ring closure with bromine in a solvent such as methylene chloride, chloroform, etc. at 0W50°C, preferably at 0°C W room temperature to give a compound shown by the formula I . n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio
