abstract PURPOSE: To produce the titled compound easily, from an easily available raw material, by adding an organic copper lithium compound to a 4-substituted-2- cyclopentenone compound by the conjugated addition reaction, reacting the product with nitroolefin, and converting the nitro group to oxo group. n CONSTITUTION: The 4-substituted-2-cyclopentenone compound of formula I [R 2 is tri(1W7C)hydrocarbon-substituted silyl, or forms acetal bond together with O of OH] is made to react with the organic copper lithium compound of formula II(R 3 is same as R 2 ; R 4 is H, methyl, ethyl, etc.; R 5 is 4W12C alkyl, etc.; Y is I, phenylthio, cyano, etc.) in an aprotic organic solvent by the conjugated addition reaction. The reaction product is made to react with the nitroolefin compound of formula III (R 1 is 1W12C alkyl, 2W10C cycloalkyl, etc.), the nitro group is converted to oxo group, and if necessary, the product is subjected to the deprotecting hydrolyzing and salt-forming reaction to obtain the objective compound of formula IV. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio
