titleOfInvention Self-sticking poultice
abstract PURPOSE: To provide the titled poultice having high anti-inflammatory effect and free from the flowing tendency of the plaster, by compounding methyl salicylate with powder of Japanese pepper seed. n CONSTITUTION: The objective self-sticking poulitic contains 0.5W2wt% each of methyl salicylate and the power of Japanese pepper seed. A mixture of the above components and 4W7wt% other drug component (e.g. dl-menthol, dl- camphor, peppermint oil, etc.), 30W40wt% diluent (e.g. titanium oxide, kaolin, magnesium silicate, etc.), 2W5wt% base (e.g. polyvinyl alcohol) and ≤3wt% polymeric selfadhesive (e.g. acrylate resin, styrene-isoprene copolymer, etc.) is added with 22W30wt% alcohol (e.g. propylene glycol) and 22W35wt% water, and mixed throughly to obtain a plaster. The plaster is spread on a cloth uniformly at a rate of 1g/cm 2 , and a releasing paper is applied to the surface of the plaster to obtain the objective self-sticking poultice. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio
