| abstract | PURPOSE: A coating resin composition excellent in dryability and pigment dispersion, containing at least 5wt%. based on resin, specified acrylic graft copolymer. n CONSTITUTION: An acrylic graft copolymer is obtained by copolymerizing (A) 0.5W40wt% cellulose acetate having copolymerizable double bonds introduced thereinto by reaction with a maleate ester or the like, with (B) 0.5W10wt% reactive acrylic oligomer (number-average MW of about 600W20,000) containing 30% or above basic monomer units (e.g., dimethylaminomethyl acrylate units) and copolymerizable double bonds and (C) 99W50wt% α,β-ethylenically unsaturated monomer (e.g., styrene, methyl acrylate, or glycidyl acrylate).
