titleOfInvention Method for purifying sucrose ester of fatty acid
abstract PURPOSE: To purify industrially the titled ester useful as a nonionic surfactant for food additives, by bringing sucrose ester of a fatty acid containing a fatty acid (alower alkey ester) as an impurity into contact with a supercritical fluid. n CONSTITUTION: Sucrose ester of a fatty acid containing a fatty acid and/or a lower alkyl ester thereof as an impurity is brought into contact with a supercritical fluid, e.g. carbon dioxide, fluoroform or chlorotrifluoromethane, preferably carbon dioxide, at the critical point or above under the critical pressure or above of the above-mentioned fluid, preferably 100W200atm and ≤120°C, to extract the impurity. The resultant impurity is preferably separated at 40W150°C under 40W100atm. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio
