abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a photosensitive resin compsn. capable of forming a hardened product good in both of solvent and water resistances despite an aq. emulsion type by using the partially saponified polyvinyl acetate to which a stilbazolium salt is added. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive resin compsn. is made of an aq. emulsion contg. (1) an aq. soln. of the polyvinyl acetate of 70-90% saponification degree to which a stilbazolium salt is added, represented by the general formula shown here, (2) a compd. having at least one ethylenically unsatd. group capable of being photoactivated, insoluble or hardly soluble in water, (3) a photopolymn. initiator, (4) and when needed, a photo-crosslinking agent, such as bichromate or diazo resin. The obtained resin composition can be developed with water, and the hardened product is enhanced in water and solvent resistances and improved in storage stability by utilizing the emulsification action of said polymer used as a photocrosslinkable matrix resin in said compsn. and emulsifying said monomer capable of being photoactivated.
