titleOfInvention Manufacture of resin molded item
abstract PURPOSE: To stick metal particles to resin surfaces of a resin molded item so as to allow the item to have a shielding effect, by using a magnetic mold, attaching magnetic metal tiny particles onto the casting mold surfaces of the mold by the magnetic force and injecting a resin material into the mold to be molded. n CONSTITUTION: A casting mold 1 is made of a mgnetic material such as magnetized iron, and magnetic tiny particles such as magnetic nickel tiny particles are uniformly attached to the casting mold surfaces by the magnetic force. In this case, the thickness of the layer 2 of the metal particles can be set to a set value by adjusting the magnetic strength of the mold 1, and generally is on the order of sevral hundred microns. A resin 3 is cast into the mold 1. In the casting, the resin near the surfaces of the mold becomes compatible with the metal particles due to the capillarity and acts as a binder. Since the metal particles have been bound to the mold 1 only magnetically, after the setting of the resin each surface of the resin 3 is formed with a conductive layer 2 rich in metal. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio
