NEW MATERIAL:A 1,4,5,8-tetraalkoxynaphthalene derivative shown by the formula I [R 1 is alkoxy; one of R 2 and R 3 is OH, alkanoyloxy, and the other is group shown by the formula II (R 4 and R 5 are H, alkyl, cycloalkyl, phenyl, etc., or R 4 and R 5 are linked with neighboring N atom through O or S or not through it to form heterocyclic ring)] and its salt. n EXAMPLE: α-Aminomethyl-1,4,5,8-tetramethoxynaphthalene-2-methanol. n USE: A remedy and preventive for heart disease or hypertension such as essential hypertension, etc. Useful for preventing and remedying congestive heart failure, angina pectoris, arrhythmia of heart, heart disease syndrome of hyperponesis, etc. n PREPARATION: For example, an aldehyde shown by the formula III is converted into an epoxy derivative shown by the formula IV, which is reacted with an amine shown by the formula V to give a compound wherein either or R 2 and R 3 is OH in the formula I , and this compound is further acylated to give a compound wherein either of R 2 and R 3 is alkanoyloxy. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio |
