titleOfInvention Rotary type radiation position detector
abstract PURPOSE:To enhance energy decomposition capacity without sacrificing sensitivity, by obliquely arranging a semiconductive radiation detector in a rotary type radiating position detector in which said semiconductive radiation detector is used. CONSTITUTION:A semiconductive radiation detector 3 is constituted so as to hold a radiation responsive semiconductive crystal (b) comprising HgI2 or CdTe between a flat electrode (a) forming a substrate and a flat electrode (c) and the flat electrodes (a), (c) are obliquly arranged so that radiation passed between partition walls 2 is incident at an angle parallel to the flat electrodes (a), (c). Even if the thickness between the flat electrodes (a), (c) is made thin, the effective thickness in the radiation incident direction can be made thick and, therefore, sensitivity can be enhanced without sacrificing energy decomposition capacity.
