titleOfInvention | Repellent for cockroach |
abstract | PURPOSE: A repellent for cockroaches capable maintaining effectiveness for a long period by repellent effect and insecticidal effect, obtained by adding an allyl group-containing compound to repel cockroaches and an insectidal toxin to a bait which cockroaches like. n CONSTITUTION: An allyl group-containing compound (e.g., allyl sulfide) and a toxin (e.g., boric acid) are blended with a bait which cockroaches like, the blend is kneaded with water softly, to give a repellent for cockroaches in a dumpling state. This repellent for cockroaches expels cockroaches from a living place and makes them not approach it by a smell of the allyl group-containing compound of its own, destroys them by the toxin after the scattering of the smell, and can maintain effectiveness for a long period (≥6 momths) by both the effects. The killing of cockroaches is an auxiliary means, and a toxin having low toxicity may be used. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1984,JPO&Japio |
