titleOfInvention Synthetic active substance for lung surface and remedy for respiratory distress syndrome containing said substance as active component
abstract PURPOSE: To provide the titled substance and titled remedy containing a specific phospholipid, neutral lipid and fatty acid at specific ratios. n CONSTITUTION: The objective remedy for respiratory distress syndrome contains a synthetic active substance for lung surface composed of (A) 80W95wt% of a phospholipid selected from phosphatidyl choline of formula I (R 1 and R 2 are fatty acid residue), cardiolipin of formula II (R 1 ', R 2 ', R 3 ' and R 4 ' are fatty acid residue) and/or phosphatidyl glycerol of formula III (R 1 " and R 2 " are fatty acid residue), (B) 5W20wt% of a neutral lipid composed mainly of triglyceride having 14W25C fatty acid residue, e.g. trimyristin, tripalmitin, etc., and (C) 0W10wt% of a fatty acid (e.g. 14W25C straight-chain fatty acid. Since the surface active substance is waxy, it is adminstered by dispersing in water or in an electrolyte solution such as physiological saline water, or mixing with a powdery substance as a vehicle. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1984,JPO&Japio
