titleOfInvention 3-unsubstituted-3-cephem derivative, its preparation and antibacterial agent composed thereof
abstract NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I (R 1 is H or methoxy; R 2 is H or OH) and its non-toxic salt. n EXAMPLE: 7β-[ D-2-( 6,7-Dihydroxychromone-3-carboxamido )-2-( 4-hydroxyphenyl)- acetamido]-3-cephem-4-carboxylic acid. n USE: An antibacterial agent effective to Gram-negative bacteria such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Some of the compound of formula I are low-toxic. n PROCESS: The compound of formula I can be prepared by reacting the compound of formula II or its salt with the compound of formula III or its reactive derivative in a solvent such as acetone in the presence of a silylation agent. The reaction is carried out by the conventional method of amidation reaction, e.g. in the presence of a condensation agent such as N,N'-dicyclohexylcarbodiimide. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1984,JPO&Japio
