titleOfInvention Soil additive
abstract PURPOSE: To provide a soil additive which is inexpensive and gives an increase yield of crops, by adding a semi-calcined dolomite powder to a soybean protein- extracted cake in a specified weight ratio. n CONSTITUTION: 10W60pts. semi-calcined dolomite powder calcined to such an extent as to give an ignition loss of 20W30%, is mixed with 100pts. soybean protein-extracted cake (green product) to obtain the desired soil additive, said cake being obtd. as a by-product in the production of soybean milk comprising defatting soybean and extracting the defatted soybean with water. In the conventional method comprising adding calcined dolomite powder to soybean protein-extracted cake, water in the cake is rapidly and vigorously reacted with CaO in the dolomite powder during mixing to generate heat so that protein and glucide in the extracted cake are decomposed, while when the semi-calcined dolomite powder is used, heat generation can be inhibited to 70°C or below. Hence, organic matters in the extracted cake can be prevented from being decomposed and an excellent soil additive contg. nitrogen, potash and trace elements can be obtd. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1984,JPO&Japio
