abstract PURPOSE: To provide a fireproof compsn. which has self-extinguishing properties, is excellent in a flame spread checking effect and has excellent flexing characteristics and storage stability, containing a water-emulsified acrylic resin, a non- combustible inorg. fiber, an inorg. filler and an org. flame retarder. n CONSTITUTION: A fireproof compsn. contains 10W60wt% water-emulsified acrylic resin such as butyl acrylate polymer, 5W30wt% non-combustible inorg. fiber such as rock wool or glass fiber, 10W40wt% inorg. filler such as hydrated alumina or clay, and 5W30wt% org. flame retarder such as decabromo-diphenyl ether or trichloroethyl phosphate.
