abstract PURPOSE: To provide the titled compsn. having improved impact resistance without detriment to flame retardance, molding properties and moldability, by blending a specified quantity of an ethylene/propylene rubber in addition to an inorg. filler and an org. halide flame retarder with polypropylene. n CONSTITUTION: 3W20pts.wt. ethylene/propylene rubber is blended with 100pts.wt. compsn. consisting of 30W80wt% polypropylene, 20W70wt% inorg. filler having an average-particle size of pref. 1W10μ, such as calcium silicate, and 5W30wt% org. halide flame retarder such as decabromodiphenyl ether. An ethylene/propylene rubber having a Mooney viscosity of 30W120 is preferred.
