titleOfInvention | Preparation of polyester |
abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain the titled polymer having improved resin quality, transparency, and electrostatic adhesivity, capable of changing grades easily, by adding a polyester containing a Mg compound and a P compound to a reaction system at a stage after a point of the end of a precondensation reaction. n CONSTITUTION: At a stage after a point of the end of a precondensation reaction of ethylene and terephalic acid, a polyester (master polymer for short) containing (A) a Mg compound (e.g., magnesium hydride, etc.) and (B) a P compound (e.g., phosphoric acid) is added to a reaction system in such a way that an amount of Mg atom is 30W40ppm based on the total polyester, and polymerization is carried out, to give the desired polymer consisting of ethylene terephthalate as a main repeating unit. The master polymer is preferably orepared by adding each component to the polyester in such a way that an amount of the component A is 1W2wt% calculated as Mg atom based on the polyester unit and a ratio of the component A/B is 1.6W10. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1984,JPO&Japio |
