abstract | PURPOSE: To prepare the titled compound in high yield, with one step reaction, by reacting a compound such as N-(t-butoxycarbonylseryl)glycine benzyl ester with an azodicarboxylic acid diester and a phosphine compound. n CONSTITUTION: A compound containing the group of formula I (R 1 is H or alkyl) [e.g. N-(t-butoxycarbonylseryl)glycine benzyl ester] is made to react with the compound of formula II (R 2 is alkyl or aralkyl) (e.g. azodicarboxlic acid diethyl ester) and the compound of formula III (R 3 is alkyl, aralkyl or aryl) (e.g. triphenylphosphine) to obtain the compound containing aziridine ring of formula IV[e.g. N-(1-t-butoxycarbonylaziridin-2-ylcarbonyl)glycine benzyl ester] when R 1 in formula I is alkyl, or the compound containing oxazoline ring of formula Vwhen R 1 is H. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1984,JPO&Japio |
