titleOfInvention Permselective hollow yarn membrane
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a membrane having a wide range and easily adjustable permselectivity with an average pore size of 1μm or less, a void ratio of 20W 85% and an air permeation rate of 10W1×10 -8 from a substantially linear aromatic polyester, by employing a melt film forming process. n CONSTITUTION: For example, 100pts. polyethylene terephthalate with intrinsic viscosity of 1.03 and 100pts. 1-phthalimido-3-phthalimido-3,5,5-trimethylcyclohexane as a low molecular compound are dry-blended and, after drying, the obtained mixture is melt extruded at about 280°C by using a twin-shaft extruder equipped with a die with an inner diameter of 1.6mm and an outer diameter of 2.0mm while passing nitrogen gas through the inner cylinder thereof and the extrudate is wound up while being cooled by water at a position 10cm below the die to obtain a hollow yarn. This hollow yarn is immersed in xylene under a reflux condition for 10min to extract the low molecular compound and then dried at 150°C. The obtained hollow yarn membrane has an inner diameter of 360μm, a wall thickness of 155μm, a void ratio of 60% and an average pore size of 0.045μm and the liquid permeation amount of a 0.1% bovine serum r-globulin aqueous solution is 0.2ml/m 2 .hr.mmHg, and an exclusion ratio is 95%. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1984,JPO&Japio
