PURPOSE: To prepare β,γ-dihydropolyprenyl alcohol by cultivating a fungus belonging to the genus Hansenula. n CONSTITUTION: A fungus such as Hansenula anomala IFO 0149 belonging to the genus Hansenula or a microorganism such as Kluyeromyces polysporus IFO 0996, etc. belonging to the genus Kluyeromyces, capable of producing β,γ-dihydropolyprenyl alcohol, is cultivated usually under aerobic conditions at about 4.0W 8.0pH at about 20W40°C for 10hr W about 5 days, and β,γ-dihydropolyprenyl alcohol is collected from a culture mold. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1984,JPO&Japio |
