titleOfInvention Production of polyurethane foam
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a polyurethane foam having excellent high-frequency weldability, by reacting an aromatic polyisocyanate with a polyoxyalkylene polyol containing an imide group-containing alcohol. n CONSTITUTION: In producing a polyurethane foam by reacting an aromatic polyisocyanate with a polyoxyalkylene polyol in the presence of a catalyst, a blowing agent and a surfactant, an imide group-containing alcohol of the formula (wherein R is H or methyl, m is 0 or 1W40 and n is 0 or 1) is used in conjunction with the above alcohol, in an amount of 5W60wt%, based on the total of the above alcohol and the polyoxyalkylene polyol. The imide group-containing alcohols used are N-(2-hydroxyethyl)phthalimide, etc. themselves or ones prepared by adding an alkylene oxide to such an alcohol at 80W150°C in the presence of an alkali metal catalyst. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1984,JPO&Japio
