titleOfInvention | Method for forming color image by thermal development |
abstract | PURPOSE:To easily form a sharp color image, by incorporating a dye having a group capable of tanning development in a silver salt photosensitive material, stopping diffusion of the dye reacting at thermal develoment at the exposed parts to an image receiving layer, and allowing the dye at the unexposed parts alone to diffuse. CONSTITUTION:An emulsion layer B is obtained by forming on baryta paper (d) an emulsion layer (c) contg. 4-nitrobenzotriazole silver, an org. silver, a photosensitive silver halide, and a dye represented by formula( I ) in which Dye is an azo dye, anthraquinone dye, or the like; Dev is a residue of a compd. such as hydroquinone having at least two OH groups capable of tanning development or p-aminophenol; and A is a coupling group. After the layer B is exposed, a polyethylene terephthalate film (a) having an image receiving layer (b) is overlaid on the layer B, it is heated D from the paper (d) side, the dye 2 in the emulsion layer (e) reacted by tanning at the exposed part is inhibited from diffusing, and the dye 3 at the unexposed parts diffuses to the layer (b) to produce the fixed dye 4, thus forming a sharp color image. |
