abstract PURPOSE: To obtain titled composition of enhanced impact resistance and moldability in good balance with its own heat distortion temperature remaining intact, by blending a maleimide-based copolymer with a thermoplastic elastomer such as polyether ester. n CONSTITUTION: The objective composition can be obtained by blending, under molten state, (A) 30W95pts.wt. of a maleimide-based copolymer containing 10W 90wt% of maleimide unit of formula (R 1 WR 3 are each H, halogen, or 1W20C hydrocarbon), with (B) 70W5pts.wt. of a thermoplastic elastomer selected from polyethers, polyether esteramides, and polyetheramides, especially polyether ester, i.e., a block copolymer with a poly(alkylene oxide) glycol content of 5W50wt%. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1984,JPO&Japio
