titleOfInvention Surface treatment of polyester formed product
abstract PURPOSE: To enhance performances of titled products, namely, adhesivity to various binders and to inks for cellophane, and resistance to boiling water, by coating on the product a bisoxazoline and/or bisoxazolone and/or bisoxazinone followed by heat treatment. n CONSTITUTION: The objective treatment can be accomplished by coating on the surface of a polyoster formed product, in combination with a polyalkylene glycol, etc. at least one sort of compound selected from ones of formula I and II(R 1 WR 8 are each H or monovalent organic group : D and D' are each divalent organic group ; X is such divalent organic group that the ring structure of formula III becomes five-membered or six-membered ring ; n and l are each gero or 1), followed by heat treatment. The compound of the formula I is a bisoxazoline, being preferable when all of R 1 WR 6 are H and n being zero. The compound of the formula II is a bisoxazolone or bisoxazinone, being preferable when X is o-phenylene with l being zero. The pick up will be 0.05W50g/m 2 on a dry basis. Said heat freatment will be carried out at temperatures ≥150°C and below the melting point of the polyester. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1984,JPO&Japio
