abstract PURPOSE: To provide a pulverized compsn. for bonding wood, which is easy to handle, hygienic, and excellent in storage stability, curability, and water resistance, by mixing methylol melamines, etc. in half-amides of isobutylene/maleic anhydride copolymer. n CONSTITUTION: 100pts.wt. powder of half-amides of isobutylene/maleic anhydride copolymer and 100W500pts.wt.powder of methylol melamines or their precondensates yielded by the reaction of melamine with formaldehyde are mixed to yield a pulverized compsn. for bonding wood, which is used by dissolving in a proper amt. of water. Admixture of 10W500pts.wt. polyvinyl alcohol powder of not move than 90mol% or of a proper amt. of wheat flour with the above powder mixture of methylol melamines or their precendensates is also useful. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1984,JPO&Japio
