titleOfInvention Powder paint
abstract PURPOSE: To prepare a powder paint having excellent dispersibility in organic pigment, and giving a coating film having excellent appearance and weather resistance, by using a specific vinyl copolymer containing a specific amount of a halogenated alkyl-containing acrylic acid ester, as a film-forming component. n CONSTITUTION: The objective powder paint contains, as a film-forming component, a vinyl copolymer having a number-average molecular weight of 1,500W 15,000 and a softening point of 80W150°C and obtained by using 0.01W20wt%, based on the whole comonomers, of a (meth)acrylic acid ester containing halogenated alkyl group. The vinyl copolymer is preferably the one represented by the formula (R 1 is H or methyl; R 2 is H, halogen (F, Cl, Br or I) or methyl; n is 0W 13), e.g. 2,3-dibromopropyl methacrylate. The comonomer used in the vinyl copolymer is preferably styrene, glycidyl methacrylate, etc. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1984,JPO&Japio
