abstract | PURPOSE: A flame-retardant resin composition having improved heat stability and mechanical properties, preventing reduction in molecular weight caused by the addition of Sb 2 O 5 , obtained by blending a thermoplastic polyester with an organic halogen compound, Sb 2 O 5 treated with an alkoxysilane and a reinforcing material. n CONSTITUTION: (A) 100pts.wt. thermoplastic polyester, preferably one having ≥0.50 intrinsic viscosity measured at 35°C using o-chlorophenol solvent, is blended with (B) 0.1W30pts.wt., preferably 1W15pts.wt. calculated as amount of halogen element of organic halogen compound (e.g., hexabromobenzene, halogenated polycarbonate), (C) 0.1W20pts.wt., preferaby 1W15pts.wt. calculated as amount of Sb element of Sb 2 O 5 treated with an alkoxysilane, and (D) 0W 200pts.wt. reinforcing material such as glass fibers, carbon fibers, etc., or lamellar or powder reinforcing material such as mica, glass beads, etc. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1984,JPO&Japio |
