Si compd. of formula I (wherein R 1 is an epoxy group-contg. org. group; R 2 is H, a 1W6C hydrocarbon group; R 3 is a 1W5C hydrocarbon group, alkoxyalkyl, 1W4C acyl; a is 1W3; b is 0W2; a+b≤3), 56W550pts.wt. hydrolyzate of org. Si compd. of formula II (wherein R 4 is an org. group having a 1W6C hydrocarbon group, methacryloxy, etc.; R 5 is R 3 ; C is 0W3) (ii), 4W334pts.wt. colloidal silica (iii), and a curing catalyst are incorporated to attain the total amt. of components (ii) and (iii) of 567pts.wt. of lower, yielding a compsn. contg. a colloidal silica- contg. organopolysiloxane.
