abstract PURPOSE: To provide an electrically conductive transparent film suitable for use as an electronics material, by depositing an indium oxide/tin oxide alloy as target on a resin film by sputtering. n CONSTITUTION: An indium oxide/tin oxide alloy having a tin content of 8W 14wt% as target is deposited on a plastic film such as polyester resin, polycarbonate resin or fluororesin film by sputtering to obtain the desired electrically conductive transparent film. The Sn/In/O 2 ratio of the resulting indium oxide/tin oxide film in the direction of depth is approximately constant, the tin content of the deposited metal is 8W14wt% and the resulting film is superior in etching processability. Electrical resistance is relatively invariable and the film has excellent resistance to chemicals and mechanical shock and adhesion to plastic films. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1984,JPO&Japio
