titleOfInvention Material to be recorded
abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a material to be recorded with an ink absorptivity and an color forming property by providing an ink absorbing layer having a specified surface roughness on the surface of a support. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. of a filler such as silica with the particle size of 1-30mum is blended with 10-100pts.wt. of a binder (e.g. PVA) and a dispersant, a fluorescent dye, a pH adjusting agent, a defoaming agent, a lubricant, a preservative, a surfactant and the like as required and dispersed into a medium such as water to form a coat liquid. Then, the coat liquid is applied on a support in the range of 1-50g/m<2> and dried as quickly as possible to form an ink absorbing layer within the range of 10-35mum in the average of the max. height per 2.5mm. of the reference length at arbitrary 10 points sampled from the surface based on the surface roughness measuring method in the JIS-B-0601. This eliminates possible spillage or exudation of recording liquids of different color even when attached to the same position overlapping on each other within a short period thereby ensuring a clear picture with a high resolution.
