titleOfInvention L-glutamic acid oxidase and its preparation
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the titled enzyme suitable for determining L-glutamic acid in a system containing an amino acid of a polysaccharide, by cultivating a specific bacterium belonging to the genus Streptomyces, purifying an extracted material form the culture. n CONSTITUTION: A specific bacterium [e.g., Streptomyces sp. X-119-6 (FERM-P 6560)] belonging to the genus Streptomyces, having high substrate specificity on L-glutamic acid, effecting on neither L-glutamine nor histidine, capable of producing L-glutamic acid oxidase having high stability, is used. Namely, the bacterium is cultivated preferably by solid culture at about 20W30°C at about 5W 7pH for about 5W15 days, an enzyme is extracted and separated from the medium and/or culture mold, and the prepared crude enzyme solution is purified by chromatography, etc. to give L-glutamic acid oxidase. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1984,JPO&Japio
