abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a pet food having extremely excellent palatability, by adding boiled antarctic krill to the raw material of a pet food having high water- content. n CONSTITUTION: The main raw material of a pet food, e.g. cattle meat, fish meat, etc. is cut to proper sizes or minced, and seasoned under boiling. The seasoned meat is added with 3W30wt%, especially 10W20wt% of boiled antarctic krill optionally together with vitamins, minerals, spices and starches to obtain the objective pet food, e.g. canned pet food. The boiling of the antarctic krill is carried out either by boiling in sea water or by boiling with high pressure, steam, preferably at 80W100°C for 3W5min. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1984,JPO&Japio
