abstract | PURPOSE: To provide a vinyl chloride resin compsn. having excellent erasing properties and transparency and an eraser composed of the same, by blending a specified paste vinyl chloride resin with a specified plasticizer and a stabilizer. n CONSTITUTION: Butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP) as a plasticizer and a stabilizer (e.g. tin compd., Ba/Zn compd., Ca/Zn compd. or mixtures thereof, such as tin mercaptide) for paste vinyl chloride resin are blended with a paste vinyl chloride resin such as PHS-650A (a product of Kanegafuchi Kagaku Kogyo K.K.) to obtain the titled resin compsn. and an eraser composed of the same. Pref. 60W 200pts.wt. BBP and 0.1W5pts.wt. stabilizer are blended with 100pts.wt. paste vinyl chloride resin. When the titled compsn. is caused to gel to provide an eraser, a pressing step which is an indispensable stage for the production of conventional transparent erasers can be omitted. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1984,JPO&Japio |
