PURPOSE: An aqueous cold rolling oil suitable for cold drawing of especially iron steel, or aluminum, containing a specific base oil, a fatty acid, phosphorous extreme-pressure agent, an emulsifying agent, and an alkyl benzoate in a specific ratio. n CONSTITUTION: The desired aqueous cold drawing oil consisting of (A) 86W 96pts.wt. base oil comprising one or more selected from a mineral oil, animal or vegetable fats and oils, and a fatty acid ester, (B) 2W5pts.wt. fatty acid (e.g., lauric acid, etc.), (C) 0.5W2pts.wt. phosphorous extreme-pressure agent (e.g., zinc dithiophosphate, etc.), (D) 0.5W2pts.wt. emulsifying agent (e.g., polyoxyethylene lanolin fatty acid ester), and (E) 0.5W5pts.wt. alkenyl or alkyl group-substituted saturated dicarboxylic acid (preferably para-t-butylbenzoic acid). n COPYRIGHT: (C)1984,JPO&Japio |
