titleOfInvention | Production of polyester |
abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain a polyester having high polymerization degree and narrow molecular weight distribution, by carrying out the direct polycondensation reaction of an aromatic polyester in the presence of a specific amide compound and a specific halogenated sulfonyl compound. n CONSTITUTION: The objective polyester is prepared by carrying out the polycondensation reaction of (i) a dicarboxylic acid and a diol, (ii) a hydroxy acid having a phenolic hydroxyl group and a carboxyl group on a benzene ring, or (iii) the above hydroxy acid and dicarboxylic acid and a diol, in the presence of (A) an amide compound of formula I [R 1 , R 2 and R 3 are H, (cyclo)alkyl, aryl or aralkyl] and (B) a halogenated sulfonyl compound of formula II [R 4 is (cyclo) alkyl, aryl or aralkyl; X 1 is halogen] excluding the case to form a quaternary salt of formula III (R 5 and R 6 are same as R 1 WR 3 ; R 8 is same as R 4 ; X 2 is halogen) by the reaction of the component (A) and the component (B). n COPYRIGHT: (C)1984,JPO&Japio |
