abstract NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by the formula I (R 1 is ≥3C alkylene; R 2 is lower alkyl, cycloalkyl, lower alkenyl or aralkyl). n USE: A controller for plant blights. Useful especially against plant blights in paddy fields such as blast and sheath blight of rice plants, etc. n PREPARATION: An aralkyl isocyanate derivative shown by the formula II is reacted with a thiol shown by the formula HS-R 2 in a solvent such as hexane, benzene, chloroform, etc. at 0W120°C for 0.5W5hr, to give a compound shown by the formula I . 0.9W1.2 equivalent thiol is used based on 1 equivalent compound shown by the formula II in the reaction.
