titleOfInvention Optical information recording medium
abstract PURPOSE:To provide an optical information recording medium which enables thermal development by heating without resort to wet processing or processing in a dark room, by arranging a layer containing a metallic salt of an organic compound or an organometallic compound. CONSTITUTION:An optical information recording body adapted to record or reproduce information using a high-density energy beam contains a metallic salt of an organic compound or an organometallic compound (e.g. silver caprate, silver benzoate, or silver 2-mercaptobenzoxazole) on a support (e.g. cellulose triacetate, polymethylmethacrylate, ceramics, glass or metal). This enables thermal development, by heating, namely dry processing, or processing in a bright room, without resort to a wet processing or processing in a dark room, thereby achieving the simplification and a higher safety of the production process. This also provides an excellent recording characteristic along with excellence in the signal- to-noise ratio.
