titleOfInvention Method for purifying fluorine-containing organic compound
abstract PURPOSE: To purify and recover almost the total amount of a fluorine-containing organic compound, by adjusting a mixed gas of the fluorine-containing organic compound and HF to a specific temperature, absorbing HF in sulfuric acid at a specific temperature to purify the organic compound, removing the excess HF, and recovering and circulating the HF for use. n CONSTITUTION: A mixed gas of a fluorine-containing organic compound of the formula (X is 2 or 3: A is CF 3 or H), e.g. hexafluoroacetone, and HF is adjusted to 100W300°C, preferably 150W250°C under heating and brought into contact with sulfuric acid kept at 10W40°C to absorb HF in the sulfuric acid and purify the organic compound. The excess HF in the gas is then removed, and the HF absorbed in the sulfuric acid is recovered at ≥96% recovery ratio and circulated for use. Thus, almost the total amount of the fluorine-containing organic compound is purified and recovered. n USE: An intermediate raw material for high polymers, medicines, agricultural chemicals, solvents and heating media. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1984,JPO&Japio
