abstract PURPOSE:To cool tranquil flow helium efficiently with a precooler, by setting up a takeout device at the side of a tranquil flow helium tank, while taking the tranquil flow helium out of a higher position of the tank and leading it into the precooler. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder 15 is set up at the outside of a tranquil flow helium tank 7, and an upper part of the cylinder 5 is connected to the upper part of a liquid helium vessel 4. A liquid outflow pipe 24 leading to a precoller is installed in the lower part of the cylinder 15, and a float 17 is housed inside the cylinder 15, then a liquid downflow pipe 18 is installed in the float 17. With this constitution, tranquil flow helium being high in temperature is taken out of a spot nearby a liquid level 29 and can be cooled by the precooler so that a refrigerating plant for super-flow helium can be effectively operated.
