abstract | PURPOSE: To provide a thermoplastic resin compsn. having well-balanced properties between heat and impact resistances, by mixing a specified graft copolymer with a modified multi-component copolymer obtd. from p-alkylstyrene, maleic anhydride, etc. n CONSTITUTION: 20W95wt% p-alkylstyrene of the formula, 5W45wt% maleic anhydride and 0W50wt% copolymerizable vinyl monomer are copolymerized. Ammonia or a prim. amine is reacted with the resulting multi-component copolymer to prepare a modified multi-component copolymer. Separately, 80W30pts.wt. vinyl monomer selected from among an arom. vinyl monomer, a vinyl cyanide monomer and (meth)acrylic acid monomer is graft-copolymerized in the presence of 20W70pts.wt. rubbery polymer to obtain a graft copolymer 5W50pts.wt. said graft copolymer is mixed with 95W50pts.wt. modified multi-component copolymer to obtain the titled resin compsn. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1984,JPO&Japio |
