abstract | PURPOSE: To reduce an amount of NOX in exhaust gas from a gas turbine without increasing the size of a denitrating device, by a method wherein NOX in exhaust gas from the gas turbine is reduced in a combustion manner by means of fossil fuel. n CONSTITUTION: Exhaust gas from a gas turbine is introduced in a low NOX range 20 in a steam generator 5, and meanwhile, fossil fuel 17 and the air 18 for combustion are fed to a burner 19. As a result, the flame of a low NOX burner 19 produces a reduction flame to reduce NOX in exhaust gas from a gas turbine within the low NOX range 20. In the low NOX range, a large quantity of oxygen remains in the exhaust gas from the turbine, whereby, in case the fossil fuel 17 is low, it is approximately completely burnt, and in case there is the unburnt content of the fossil fuel 17, the fossile fuel is completely burnt with the aid of the air fed through a nozzle 22 for the air for complete combustion.
