titleOfInvention | Thermal recording material |
abstract | PURPOSE:To provide a thermal recording material sufficient in both developed color density and color developing sensitivity and less in both reduction of the color developing sensitivity and fogging, wherein a specified hydroxyphenylsulfone derivative is incorporated together with an electron-donative colorless dye and a naphthol derivative. CONSTITUTION:The objective recording material incorporates (A) an electron- donative colorless dye, e.g., 2-anilino-3-chloro-6-diethylaminofluoran, (B) an electron-acceptive compound consisting of a hydroxyphenylsulfone derivative of the formula (wherein R is aryl, alkyl, cycloalkyl or aralkyl; the benzene ring A may be substituted with halogen, alkyl or alkoxy), preferably, bis(3-isopropyl-4- hydroxyphenyl)sulfone or bis(2-hydroxy-5-t-butylphenyl)sulfone, and (C) a naphthol derivative, e.g., 2-benzyloxynaphthalene. |
