titleOfInvention | Halide glass for transmitting infrared rays |
abstract | PURPOSE:The titled glass having a transparent window in a wide wavelength range of infrared rays free from deliquescence, consisting of CuCl, PbBr2, and a specific cesium compound. CONSTITUTION:28-46mol% is blended with 42-62mol% PbBr, and 8-23mol% one or more cesium compounds selected from CsCl, CsBr, and CsI, and melted, and cast on a substrate. Consequently, when absorption of water is removed, halide glass for transmitting infrared rays useful for transmission of infrared rays, having transparency in a wavelength range of 2.5-17mu is obtained. |
