abstract | PURPOSE: An aerosol type insecticide for rugs or mats that is composed of a pyrethroid insecticide, and an active ingredient, and a non-combustible propellant or a combination of a solution thereof in a noncombustible solvent with a non- combustible propellant and is used solely up-side-down using a valve for up- side-down use. n CONSTITUTION: A pyrethroid insecticide such as pyrethrin, d-T80-furamethrin, resmethrin, d-T80-resmethrin, permethrin, phenothrin or allethrin is used as an active ingredient to form an aerosol by dissolving it directly in a noncombustible propellant such as flon or by dissolving it once in a noncombustible solvent boiling at a temperature lower than 100°C such as flon-11, methylene chloride or chloroform, combining the solution concentrate with a noncombustible propellant so that the volume of the concentrate may not exceed 30%, then charging them in an aerosol vessel.
