titleOfInvention Fuel composition
abstract PURPOSE: To provide a liquid hydrocarbon fuel composition having low pour point, low freezing point, high density and high combustion heat, by using a tetrahydrogenated product (derivative) of a specific hydrocarbon mixture as a component. n CONSTITUTION: A mixture of 11W16C hydrocarbons is obtained by the Diels- Alder reaction of (A) a conjugated chain diene (preferably 1,3-butadiene) with (B) (di)cyclopentadiene (or its alkyl-substituted compound) usually at a molar ratio of 0.05W10 and 50W250°C for 30minW10hr. The mixture is hydrogenated to the state of tetrahydrogenated compound, and is used as it is or mixed with other conventional fuels to obtain the objective fuel composition. n EFFECT: The composition is noncorrosive to metals, and has long-period storage stability. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1984,JPO&Japio
