abstract NEW MATERIAL:An antibiotic Y-0834 H-B1 of the formula, having following physical and chemical properties: color reactions; positive to potassium permanganate, while negative to ferric chloride and Molisch's reaction, solubility; slight soluble in neutral to acidic water, while readily soluble in a slkaline water, methanol, acetone and ethyl acetate. USE:Antibacterial. PREPARATION:A microorganism in Streptomyces such as Streptomyces sp Y- 0834 (FERM-6900) is cultured preferably at about 30 deg.C and 5-7pH.
